Don Young promotes unrestrained pork barrel spending Several
members of Congress scheduled a series of votes last year to delete
50 pork barrel earmarks from various spending bills. This effort provides
a measure of Congress’ addiction to pork barrel spending. Before he
skipped town, Young opposed 29 out of 31 measures that would have deleted
