Don Young enthusiastically embraces gambling

Despite the solid defeat of gambling initiatives on the Alaska ballot in 1990 and 2008, Don Young:

  1. Serves as a major Congressional promoter for gambling in the lower 48, and has
  2. Collected over $570,000 in political contributions from the beneficiaries:
  • $263,000 from tribal casinos in the lower 48, and their promoters (1 MB file)
  • $206,000 from cruise ships that offer on-board gambling, and their employees (1 MB file)
  • $104,000 from other gambling interests, i.e., Nevada casinos, horse racing, internet gaming, etc.
